Las Palomas just sent out an email to all its owners about the swine flu, and I copied and pasted the important parts:
We know that you, as well as your guests, are concerned about the outbreak of Swine Influenza - now being called Influenza H1N1 - in Mexico and other countries. It is important to point out that up until today here in Puerto Peñasco, and in all of the state of Sonora for that matter, there have been NO reported cases of this disease.
Here are some common sense tips to stay well:
- Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze.
- Alcohol based hand cleaners are also effective.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread that way.
- Try to avoid close contact with sick people.
Influenza is thought to spread mainly person-to-person through coughing or sneezing of infected people.
