PUERTO PENASCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - MAR DE CORTEZ

Dear Members of Puerto Penasco Fans and Community in Facebook,

It is a great news to let you know that this week, on September 10th, President Calderon, Secretary of Communication and Transportation Mr. Molinar Horcasitas and Mr. Danial Chavez CEO of Mayan Palace will inaugurate the NEW MAR DE CORTEZ International Airport which shall serve Puerto Penasco and the Gold Coast of Sonora. Now our favorite destination will be closer!!!
This airport will be receiving private flights, charters in a first phase and commercial flights as soon as agreements with commercial airlines are finalized, I will keep you posted.
The airport has a landing strip of 2.5 kilometers long, Air Force One can land there!!! President Calderon will inland for the grand opening in the Quetzalcoatl 1, the Mexican Presidential Aircraft.
