All I have to say is wow. Wow. Wow!

The show last night was AMAZING - if you missed Infected Mushroom, you missed out on something so awesome!

Our own DJ Ruy spun a 90 minute set to a crowd of about 2000 people - the energy there was so intense - I loved it! (despite the windy, sandy, cold weather)

ROCKY POINT GOSSIP - BIT BY BIT

Well, I must say, it's been a while since I've heard so many bits of info in one day - sheesh! Here it is:

-Portofino (the only "Italian" restaurant in town) is moving to where Harborview Restaurant used to be - right next door to Hacienda (better have all your taxes in order!) painted on the building as of now, it says Tropical Pizzas

-Tenshi Sushi and Vaquero's are moving to Mision del Mar - I think this is great because it's going to give the plaza some more oomph!

-There are whisperings of a new event on Saturday nights at Blue Buddha - stay tuned!

-There also might be a new event at Penasco del Sol, it's in the works, and I can't say anything till the ribbon cutting - dang it....

-On the serious side, I heard some (is disturbing the word?) news about Las Palomas and Esmerelda, but I won't say anything till I hear it from a closer source. That whole gossip from a gossip from a friend of someone's cousin that heard a phone conversation isn't exactly my idea of truth or fact!

Hace mucho tiempo que no escribi chismes aqui, pero ayer era el dia de los chismes! Aqui estan:

-Portofino (el unico restaurante "Italiano" en Puerto Penasco) van a mover al edifico a lado de Hacienda (espero que todos los impuestos estan en orden!) El lugar tiene "Tropical Pizzas" pintada en la pared ahorita

-Tenshi Sushi y Vaquero's van a mover a la Plaza Mision del Mar, creo que es bueno porque me gusta Mision del Mar, pero casi no hay nada!

-Oi algo de un nuevo evento en el Blue Buddha los sabados!

-Tambien hay algo (quizas) nuevo en Penasco del Sol, pero no puedo decir nada hasta todo esta en orden...chiiiiin

-Sinceriamente, oi unas noticias (puedo decir malisimas?) sobre Las Palomas y Esmerelda...no voy a decir nada sobre estos chimes porque asi son y nada mas - chismes! De la boca de un amigo de su primo que escucho alguien por telefono que estaba limpiando unas oficinas - no son factos verdaderos, entonces, hasta ya se seguramente, no voy a decir nada mas!

FRIDAYS

• Nu Sounds at Blue Buddha kick off the start of Blue Weekends and Antro Nights starring DJ Chip and DJ Ruy in the mix from 9-3am pumping out everything from OM grooves and beach house to pop mixes and heart pounding, ass shaking dance beats - it's the ONLY place to be on Friday night! 
  

SATURDAYS

• Blue Weekends continues the party with Mixology Sessions poolside atPenasco del Sol from 4-9, get there early to grab a chair and reserve your cabana. Think of it as Mandalay Bay's Rehab Sea of Cortez style!
  
• S.W.I.M spices things up starting around 7 with La Culebra (man, those guys get around!) and a smokin salsa session - enjoy their killer margaritas and other delish libations at happy hour prices from 4-7. 
  
• After dark, head on over to Blue Buddha or Elixir (one OR the other will be hopping) Blue Buddha has pop culture and top 40 hits of today going on till 3am and Elixir has a live band!

Speaking of Nu Sounds, here is an awesome shot of DJ Chip on the digital ones and twos having possibly a little too much fun - naaahhh there's no such thing!

IF YOU WEREN'T AT BLUE BUDDHA LAST NIGHT...

You MISSED OUT on an awesome party! DJ Chip switched out his mellow, silky house for energetic soulful house with a little top 40 and pop sprinkled in the mix. 

DJ Gunther ROCKED the house with groovy, funky bass beats mixed with synths and hi hats, taps and claps for an all out fully charged dance party!

If you weren't there - you missed out, but you have a chance to redeem yourself - he will be at Azul Beach Club located at Penasco del Sol Hotel, at the bottom of 13th street starting at 4:00 this afternoon - that party ends around 10, and we'll see where the party goes after that!

MIXOLOGY SESSION SATURDAYS

This afternoon begins the second leg of Blue Weekends at Azul Beach Club at the Penasco del Sol Hotel righ there in Rocky Point! Chill out poolside while DJ Chip intoxicates you with his smooth loungy beach house grooves. Enjoy libations and snacks while you bathe yourself in the last weeks of the summer sun!

MISS PENASCO 2008

We went to the Miss Penasco 2008 pagent held at Penasco del Sol hotel last night, and boy was it a gala! It was a high society, hob nobbing, social event that could have been compared to a ball. 

Congratulations to Reyna, Miss Penasco 2008. I was really cheering for Dora, not only because she's the only one I know, but because she's SO sweet, and she was such a doll during the fashion show!

I will dig around for pictures because the batteries were dead on my camera!!
