MYN NEEDS YOUR HELP ***UPDATE***

I have heard several comments about 4 people losing their lives on 13th last night due to a drug related altercation - is this true?!?! Please shoot me an email with any info you have on this: mynparty@yahoo.com.mx

Lynette from the Rocky Point Times just sent me an email with a link to the full meal deal no this totally random happening check this out:

A really interesting hit late last night in Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, two couples taken out, one survivor.
The hit went down in the heart of the city, 13th Street and Juárez Boulevard; El Imparcial reports
this morning.
One of the three dead was identified as Joel Meza Cázares, of Culiacán, and los pajarritos andan cantando, saying he was related to Blanca Margarita Cázares Salazar, La Emperatriz, El Mayo Zambada’s ex-girlfriend and a money-launderer for the Sinaloa Federation.

You see, the number of shootings that happen in Rocky Point per year can be counted on one hand. Everyone involved was from far away, and it was something that just sprung up outta the blue. On top of that, it's all gang violence - the drug cartels are battling between each other - it has absolutely nothing to do with tourists or tourism at all! You can bet that our police department will be even more in force than usual - I was wondering why I saw so many patrol cars today!

I am a single woman in my early 20's and I feel safer here than I do in Phoenix, LA, or Dallas (the 3 major cities I frequent) what with all their rapists, robbers, and sometimes snipers...

So there you have it, thanks to the Rocky Point Times!

The acquisition of Weston Foods by Grupo Bimbo of Mexico was finalized with a price of $2.5 billion dollars. "This transaction is the largest in the history of Grupo Bimbo, and one of the largest in the baking industry. However, the size of the company is not our main goal. Our vision is to become the best baking company demonstrating commitment and dedication to serve our customers and consumers in the most effective way possible, " said Saniel Servitje, CEO of Grupo Bimbo.

Which means that English muffins will be available soon in Mexico!

The Seafari boat and land monster
Approaching the marina in San Felipe
That's an iStock Photo worthy pic!
Their much smaller, not so cool version of Bird Island
There's another one (minus the toes and "Mauled by RP" shoes) fit for stock photography

TWO COOL THINGS HAPPENING IN ROCKY POINT SOON

Thing #1: Tours to San Felipe chartered by Seafari to begin once a month - stay tuned for pictures of the first trip, they'll be back this afternoon! Who knew it was only 3 hours across the Sea of Cortez to the Baja side??!! I hope I will be on the next one...

Thing #2: MYN hosted bar crawls. Can't let the whole cat outta the bag, but here are some scratches: They'll be geared toward new bars/bars that (sorry weekenders) us locals don't frequent, but meet the standards to be a great hang out spot...Stay tuned for the first one - you won't wanna miss it, I puh-rom-ise! Coming your way the 2nd week of December...

A NOTE FROM ONE THAT LEFT THE FLOCK

Todd Melcher wrote me and wants me to spread the news: (PS: he's engaged!)

Hola from Puerto Vallarta!

Patty's house is coming along great! We started construction last December and have been ahead of schedule and on budget the whole time! Our architect Alberto Alvarez is the man responsible for both of those great things and we could not be happier with him.

He and his wife Gabriela have recently finished a masterpiece home on the coast of Mismaloya South of here and it is being considered for inclusion in Architectural Digest! Please visist the link below to see the home and vote for it to be included in the pages of the magazine. Please note that one of the homes its being compared to is a renovation. The before picture shows a beautiful pool table in the focal point of the room, and then after... no pool table! Not what I call home "improvement"!

Alberto's made us a really incredible home and the home in Mismaloya, well It really is a gem of a home as those of you who've seen it know, so give it a look and vote!

DISTURBING NEWS

It seriously chruns my stomach to the core to hear about that kid that OD'd on pills and STREAMED IT through his webcam...are you kidding me?! He committed suicide with people literally cheering him on, and no one can really do anything to punish those aggers-on because there are no laws for this sort of erratic, raucous behavior.

What the hell is wrong with people these days? Excuse my language, but my gosh - is this what we're reduced to? Is this where and when humanity takes a turn? One group of people goes rouge by streaming horrible things while the others try to save the environment and get their credit back on track????

I just can't believe it. How sad. Where were his PARENTS?! That kid was somebody's son...brother, maybe?

What is this world coming to? It just breaks my heart.
