BE THANKFUL!

I know it's hot, Phoenix and Tucson. San Diego, I don't wanna hear it. I know it's hot and humid locals...BUT we need to be thankful. People in the Gulf region are having to evacuate their homes because hurricane Gustav is gathering strength!

THUNDERSTORMS AND RAIN PELT THE VALLEY

"Thunderstorms pounded the Valley on Thursday night, leaving some in the dark and shutting down Sky Harbor International Airport for the second-straight night.

Runways were closed around 8:30 p.m. for about an hour with numerous flights diverted to Las Vegas and others delayed. Meanwhile, two storms converged over Gilbert and Mesa, dumping more than an inch of rain.

Several hundred passengers spent the night on the floor of Sky Harbor, and some flights were delayed early Friday..."

IT'S GETTING HOT OUT HERE

Today it's hot and humid! The heat has started, we think! It's about 90 degrees with enough humidity to make our knees hurt. Bummer, but good - that means more pool hopping and beach days!

GROUNDHOG DAY

Ok, so Groundhog Day was almost a month ago...we guess he didn't see his shadow, and we're feeling this "winter for six more weeks" hard n heavy...it was so nice last week, and we pulled out our sweaters AGAIN today. humpf.

Has anyone been outside today? It's gorgeous! the shrmp boats are out, the dolphins are frolicking...it's a Faboulous Friday! this weekend, it's supposed to be 75 (24 Celsius) we can't wait to soak up some sunshine!
