NASA sets the record straightIt read like a space-age tale of David and Goliath. An enterprising 13-year-old German boy recalculates the likelihood of an asteroid hitting Earth, alerts NASA, and the big American space agency acknowledges he's right. Only problem? It's not true.
Officials from both NASA and the European Space Agency have refuted the account, which sped across the Web at the speed of light. The young man's asteroid-strike numbers were not correct and the U.S. space agency has not, repeat has not, changed its mind about the 1-in-45,000 chance that the hurtling hunk of rock will collide with our planet. (The student thought it was a 1-in-450 chance. Yikes!)
Unfortunately, all this came out after articles on the teen's statistical success soared in Buzz, and even made it to the Yahoo! front page. Lookups for "apophis," the asteroid in question, surged into the top hourly searches.

24 THINGS TO DO FOR A BETTER YEAR!
1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.
2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Buy a lock if you have to.3. When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, my purpose is to __________ today.
4. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
5. Drink green tea and plenty of water. Eat blueberries, wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli, almonds & walnuts.

NEW ROCKY POINT RESTAURANT
Look out Rocky Point - there's a new game in town...S.W.I.M is at Bella Sirena - the sexy pool side lounge over filling the shoes of what was there before them, S.W.I.M brings originality, (try the quesadillas with chicken, goat cheese, and roasted red peppers) variety (different music sets every hour or so) and a rockin good vibe (think upbeat staff and rounds passed around from time to time) together under one roof - er - sky, at Bella Sirena's new poolside lounge. We walked out smelling like the sweetest, richest oils and our skin felt like a baby's behind!
The whole concept of Sanctuary itself is a mix of the old world european feel of Bella Sirena and a beachy bungalow hideout, complete with thatched-like palapa ceiling coverings. The music itself is dreamy, too. In the facial room it was a soft symphony of french horns and flutes playing a continual lullaby. In the body treatment session, clarinets and strings coupled with jungle like sounds to create the perfect vibe for the place I was in - somewhere between awake and dreamland.
The attentiveness of all the Sanctuary staff is incredible. They make you feel like you are the only person in the place the whole time, we were totally comfortable and will definately go back. Very soon. You should check them out, too! Services range from the extravagant organic body treatments to massages of all types, facials galore, and hand and foot care.

OPEN HOUSE THIS SATURDAY!
Open house this weekend at these condos in the Mirador!
There are two unit types: upper and lower, (JUST REDUCED) for 129K and 109K, respectively. They are charming one bed, one bath condos located 2 blocks from the beach in the Mirador. PLAYA AZUL CORRECTION
We just got off the phone with Linda Young, an angry investor in the Playa Azul project on North Beach. She expressly explained to us that NONE of the North Beach investors got a penny of their money back from the developers and the letter we received from the developers about them giving 85% of investors money back is false...
We will research this more and give you an update as we get more information. We apologize to whomever we might have offended by any of our previous posts regarding this matter. We only post what we are aware of, and the information we receive.
