The picture is of a small whale shark - they actually can reach 40 feet in length!
However, although considered a "carnivore" - the whale shark actually sifts plankton as its diet.
The massive whale shark is a docile fish who will allow swimmers to hitch a ride.
The whale shark is considered a vulnerable species.
