PENASCO RECREATION PHOTO OF THE WEEK

Does Life ever make you feel like you just gotta "Hang On & Go for the Ride?"

THE PLACE:

In the Sea of Cortez - near Puerto Penasco, Sonora, Mexico

THE TRIVIA:
This great photo is courtesy of Ray Ramirez at Pancho Villa Boat Charters. (Thanks for the pic!)
The picture is of a small whale shark - they actually can reach 40 feet in length!
However, although considered a "carnivore" - the whale shark actually sifts plankton as its diet.
The massive whale shark is a docile fish who will allow swimmers to hitch a ride.

The whale shark is considered a vulnerable species.
