Xochitl’s Restaurant, a long-time favorite community gathering and dining spot in Cholla Bay, Mexico, will celebrate the grand opening of their new, larger space Saturday, October 17^th. The new building is on the left side of the road closer to the entrance of Cholla Bay than the previous location.  Owner, Sally Dalton, is thrilled to add some new menu items and to welcome Phoenix chef, Jerry Ketelhut, who will offer special evening entrees  for diners.

East Valley Artist, Susi Lerma, will exhibit her artwork in the first of a series of cultural exchanges planned for the spacious main dining room. Mexico is a favorite theme for her large, boldly colored paintings.  “I am happy to exhibit again in Mexico. I am not worried about the reports of crime.  I think Rocky Point is as safe as Phoenix ” said Lerma when asked about the situation.  “…great beaches, food, and wonderful people.”

WATER TO BAJA CALIFORNIA - HURRICANE JIMENA RELIEF

As you may know, hurricane Jimena has devastated several towns in Baja California, causing massive flooding, lack of electricity, and most importantly, it has taken away their source of clean water. In an effort to curb the suffering of these people, Steve Schwab of Sea Side Reservations in Puerto Penasco, Sonora has purchased 2 gravity fed water purification systems headed for Tucson. He will then fly them down south. 

There is a long list of supplies needed for the town of Constitucion, Baja California Sur that he (in conjunction with MYN) is trying to get together.

PUERTO PENASCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - MAR DE CORTEZ

Dear Members of Puerto Penasco Fans and Community in Facebook,

It is a great news to let you know that this week, on September 10th, President Calderon, Secretary of Communication and Transportation Mr. Molinar Horcasitas and Mr. Danial Chavez CEO of Mayan Palace will inaugurate the NEW MAR DE CORTEZ International Airport which shall serve Puerto Penasco and the Gold Coast of Sonora. Now our favorite destination will be closer!!!
This airport will be receiving private flights, charters in a first phase and commercial flights as soon as agreements with commercial airlines are finalized, I will keep you posted.
The airport has a landing strip of 2.5 kilometers long, Air Force One can land there!!! President Calderon will inland for the grand opening in the Quetzalcoatl 1, the Mexican Presidential Aircraft.

The system we are introducing to Rocky Point was designed by Brigham Young University and you've got to see it to believe it.

The mixed learning process utilizes half computer and half instructional classroom settings. Our computer lab speaks for itself!

Tendremos horarios accesibles, desde las 7am hasta las 9pm. Grupos reducidos (15 maximo). 50% clases con maestro, 50% repaso y seguimiento en computadora. Con este programa, el sistema se adapta a tu paso y avanzas de acuerdo a las ganas que le pongas.
