I needed to rest because THIS weekend is huge...There's Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, Superbowl, and...well, all the festivities that go along with those two huge events + battle of the antros (essentially "nightclub" in spanish, but it sounds so chic) Saturday night...Roger n them are playing at JJ's on the 31st - what time? I haven't the foggiest...Also going down Satuday night, Elixir and Bumaye are like, battling for the #1 antro spot for the clubbers of RP...Superbowl starts at 4pm (early, that means early to bed-yay!) on Sunday. Chango's is doing all day specials...The Thirsty Parrot is also doing lots of drink specials, free chips and salsa all day and a free buffet. Boo Bar is doing their usual craziness; the free shots are administered glass-less, not really put up as a special...

LUKEVILLE BORDER CROSSING

On December 6th 2008 at the Arizona-Mexico Commission meeting it was officially announced that the state of Arizona and Mexico will be expanding the border crossing that takes U.S. tourists to Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point) on the Sea of Cortez.

The current port of entry was built 22 years ago and is designed to handle the amount of visitors who travel to Puerto Penasco on weekends

CHANGO'S ON SANDY BEACH

If you haven't been to Chango's for lunch, you should definately go! I had their fish sandwich yesterday and it was outta this world! It was a big thick fish fillet, on ciabatta bread, and I could harly finish it all. Also, I have renewed my Chango's Chips (they're good for free beer) stash, so when you see me, don't forget to ask for one!

Si no has ido a Chango's para comida, tienes que ir! Comi la torta de pescado, y estaba deliciossoo! Es un filete de pescado empanizado en pan ciabatta, y casi no pude comer toda la torta! Tambien, tengo muchos Chango's Chips (vale para una chela) y cuando me ves, preguntame por uno!

Yes, it's that magical time of year again when the Darwin Awards are bestowed, honoring the least evolved among us.

7. Seems an Arkansas guy wanted some beer pretty badly. He decided that he'd just throw a cinder block through a liquor store window, grab some booze, and run. So he lifted the cinder block and heaved it over his head at the window. The cinder block bounced back and hit the would-be thief on the head, knocking him unconscious. The liquor store window was made of Plexiglas. The whole event was caught on videotape.
