We held the contest. We had the photo shoots. We've been working very hard on editing and design, and now it's time once again to have a PARTY! Join us for our calendar release party and Circus Mexicus in Puerto Penasco Mexico! Come by Chango's starting at 11:00 AM on Saturday June 6th and be the first to own the first EVER "Girls of Rocky Point" calendar, and have it signed by the models! Man, what a day! Yesterday the girls shot on the beach, and at the beach house, and yesterday afternoon we shot out at Chango's then went out to JJ's for the sunset - we got some AWESOME shots - can't wait to see them!

The results are in for the cover girl contest winner, too...did you actually think I'm going to spill the beans right now? Oh no...you'll have to wait a little bit for that - check back soon for the winner of the cover girl contest!

Don't forget June 6th (Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers weekend) is the calendar signing party at Chango's - don't miss it!

Secondly a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to Myaann Roland. Myaann publishes the popular local blog for RP, mynparty.blogspot.com. In addition to being one of our beautiful calendar models, Myaann will also be serving as our local editor and contributor for GORP, as we add more content containing more local news and events not related to the calendar. Myaann worked very hard on the last contest, making it a huge success, and we look forward to working with her on not only the main shoot in April, but on many other future endeavors.

I feel so humbled by this (thanks for spelling my name right!) - I just don't know what to say...stay tuned for more on GORP, Chango's, and the girls...

ROCKY POINT WEEKEND EVENTS

As your nightlife correspondent, I have to be honest with you: I didn't go out last weekend! I needed to rest because THIS weekend is huge...There's Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, Superbowl, and...well, all the festivities that go along with those two huge events + battle of the antros (essentially "nightclub" in spanish, but it sounds so chic) Saturday night...Roger n them are playing at JJ's on the 31st - what time? I haven't the foggiest...Also going down Satuday night, Elixir and Bumaye are like, battling for the #1 antro spot for the clubbers of RP...Superbowl starts at 4pm (early, that means early to bed-yay!) on Sunday. Chango's is doing all day specials...The Thirsty Parrot is also doing lots of drink specials, free chips and salsa all day and a free buffet. Boo Bar is doing their usual craziness; the free shots are administered glass-less, not really put up as a special...

ROGER CLYNE AND THE PEACEMAKERS CONCERT

I have to admit it - we didn't go! After Thursday's lunch date turning into a rock star session, then Friday's Blue Buddha binge, we just needed a good night's sleep - so we (gasp) skipped the concert...I haven't heard anything about what happened (you know there's ALWAYS drama) but then again, all the concert goers are probably still asleep!

I don't know where I've been - I totally missed the Jazz by the Sea fesitval at Penasco del Sol last Friday night, and I almost missed reporting on Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers concert THIS WEEKEND October 10th and 11th, right here in Rocky Point!

We need a cowboy hat, too...we'll rummage to find ours! We're going to look like RP tourists - denim skirt, cowboy hat, wife beater, and flipflops (with Dos Equis in hand, no doubt) YIPPEE!!

Anyway - we've basically finished all of our work for today...we could do more, we know...we're in la la land right now - and in need for more hits!
