BLOOD DONOR UPDATE

Finally it's Friday! I've got some pics and some dirt to dish, but for now, I want to let you all know some requirements about donating blood that I've just found out:

• It doesn't matter if you are O+ or not, right now, we need any that we can get. I am going to donate my A- blood on Tuesday...
  
• You can't donate if you've gotten a tattoo within the last 10 years, but after 10 years, it is ok.
  
• If you have high blood pressure, cholesterol, or any other infection, it's best that you not donate.

I know it's strict, but I also know that there are lots of caring, giving people out there that are willing to give blood to someone in need.

If you want to donate, this is how it will work:

• There is only one blood bank in Hermosillo, so you must go there as early as possible, so as not to wait in line forever. They open at 5am.
• You must make sure that you eat a good breakfast and that you have gotten a good night's sleep. 
• It is best to go to Hermosillo the afternoon before, and spend the night there, so you can be rested and fresh that morning.

ROCKY POINT RECAP

I am actively seeking a blood donor of O+ blood - I have a dear friend that needs blood for an operation, and she needs it like, last week. It's very important to me, so please please - if you are O+ and can donate blood, please respond to my personal email: myaann_roland@yahoo.com and let me know, and if you can forward this onto your friends/family, I would appriciate it so much!

On a lighter note, tomorrow night is a double header for social networking and nightlife mingling...Starting at 10pm sharp is the MUCH anticipated URBAN GLAM fashion show, produced by Paul (the other diva of RP nightlife) and consequently, starring moi at Elixir lounge over in the Mirador. From Benito Juarez, veer left after the stop light at Fremont, go up and over the hill to Matamoros (the "strip" including Manny's, Pink's, etc) and turn left - go all the way down to Jalisco, where Sandbar Beach club is, and turn left - you can't miss it there on your right.

After the shiz-ow, everyone is heading over to Blue Buddha for Nu Sounds hosted by yours truely - it kicks off about 11, so we'll all be right on time! DJ Chip will be digitally dishing out tunes to groove to till 3am - you will NOT want to miss this Friday night!

Saturday night is the dawn of a new event at Blue Buddha (I'm SUCH a huge fan of this place) it's properly called Pop Culture, and it's going to be off the hook - a gradual progression of music + video from the 80s, 90s, and 00s - get your dance on from 9 till 3am with drinks specials flowing all night...

If you are in Rocky Point this weekend, you have NO excuse to stay in - LOCALS - get off the couch, and get out on the town - everything has been so slow lately - you OWE it to yourself to go out this weekend!
