BUYING BEEF IN ROCKY POINT

Last night, we went to SuperVal to get the basics - romaine hearts and other veggies, fruits, chicken, etc...I thought I'd try to get some filets to grill. Most of the beef I buy is from Su Karne
on Kino Blvd, but since they close at 3, I didn't make it in time.

As I was shuffling through the various selections, (which ALL were fresh and looked good) I couldn't help but be totally confused with which cut was which. Not being an expert at cuts of beef, I was helplessly lost in the sea of raw packaged flesh...

Everything but the carne molida (ground beef) which was recognizeable, had the word "Pulpa" in front of it. I'm trying to find out which cuts are which, so when you go, you will know!

I'm Googling and Wiki'ing like crazy to try to find the answer - a simple chart, maybe? Stay tuned for the latest and greatest...

Just a note on Super Val's ground beef - I've bought it before, and it's about 95% fat free, and it's always fresh and flavorful - it made GREAT hamburgers and meatballs!
